On Saturday, April 1, 2023, Christian Community Action will celebrate its 50th anniversary and acknowledge its half-century legacy as the non-profit that alleviates suffering, brings hope, and changes lives.

The event will bring together 800 community leaders, corporations, churches, governmental and civic leaders, and a host of organizations and individuals that partner and support our work.

Neal Jeffrey, former All-American quarterback at Baylor University and quarterback for the San Diego chargers will be the keynote speaker. Neal learned the meaning of overcoming obstacles early in life. A stutterer since childhood, Neal had to find a way to “get through what he couldn’t get over” to achieve his lifelong dreams. Today, he is one of America’s most powerful and passionate communicators, speaking nationally. Neal has served for 36 years as an associate minister at Prestonwood Church. He and his wife Sheila live in Highland Village and have three grown children and 11 grandchildren.

The 50-Year Anniversary Gala will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Grapevine and will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by a seated dinner, recognition presentation, a silent and live auction and conclude with entertainment and dancing.
