Director of Development joins CK Family Services

The nonprofit executive brings more than 20 years of fundraising experience for the health and social services sector to the organization.

CK Family Services has hired a new Director of Development.

Darla Tate, CFRE, joined the nonprofit in July. CK Family Services is a licensed Child Placing Agency by the Texas Department of Family Protective Services (DFPS) that serves children and families in North Texas. The agency recruits and supports families that care for children placed in foster care, and helps children who are available for adoption to be matched with families eligible to adopt them.

In her new role, Tate will be responsible for representing the organization internally and publicly, including fundraising.

Prior to joining CK Family Services, Tate served as Chief Development Officer for Christian Health Service Corps. She has also held development positions with Tarrant County Samaritan Housing, ACH Child and Family Services and Susan G. Komen Greater Fort Worth. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Liberty University.

CK Family Services is the DFPS post adoption service provider for 19 counties including and surrounding Dallas and Tarrant counties. The agency also operates CK Behavioral Health, a program that provides children, adolescents and young adults with mental health rehabilitation and targeted case management services.
