Dallas Stars Foundation and partners raise big money for south Dallas school

Night of Giving raises funds for nonprofit founded as a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas.

The Dallas Stars Foundation, in partnership with the Dallas Stars and Enchant® Christmas, raised more than $142,000 in a single evening to benefit a North Texas nonprofit.

Proceeds from ticket sales and skate rentals at the Enchant Christmas ‘Night of Giving’ event on Dec. 15, 2021, benefited St. Philip’s School and Community Center.

The Foundation’s Legacy Project recipient, St. Phillip’s is a private Christian school in southern Dallas that serves approximately 240 students in PK2 through 6th grade. The organization also offers a multifaceted community center that provides athletic, educational and social services to more than 4,000 children, youth and adults annually.

Enchant Christmas is an immersive stadium-sized live event produced by Enchant Studios, which creates lighting experiences for public spaces. Attendees at the fundraising event hosted by the Dallas Stars Foundation for St. Phillips experienced an ice skating trail and visited vendors. They also had the opportunity to meet NHL alumni and get photos with Santa.

The Dallas Stars Foundation invests in the community by creating programs that nurture and enrich the lives of those in need. Foundation programs include health and education such as ‘Fitness Stars’ and ‘’Stick with Reading’, the building of ball hockey courts and playgrounds, and providing grants and scholarships throughout the community.

“The Dallas Stars Foundation is extremely grateful for the opportunity to receive additional funding that will go to support St. Philip’s School and Community Center,” said Marty Turco, President of the Dallas Stars Foundation. “We would like to thank Enchant for this opportunity to partner with them for an incredible event.”
