IRVING, Texas – Park Place Dealerships and Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity broke ground October 7 on a new home in Dallas to provide a brighter future for a local family. It is Park Place Dealerships’ largest community relations projects undertaken at any given time in the company’s 33-year history and the 11th volunteer built home in 2020 for Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity.

“Park Place has significantly invested in supporting our community and empowering our members to improve the quality of life in the communities where we do business,” said Tony Carimi, managing director of Park Place Dealerships. “This is the first time we have embarked on a project this large so that our members throughout the company have the opportunity to work together on a single charitable initiative. It is exciting to know we will help create a home that will bring joy to a family for many years to come.”

The build will take approximately 10 weeks and will incorporate 160 volunteers from Park Place Dealerships. When the project is completed, this joint partnership will provide a local family with a safe and affordable home. The volunteers are expected to contribute approximately 1000 hours on the construction site of the home.

“Affordable housing is a significant challenge in Dallas,” said Anam Ali Hashambhai, marketing director for Park Place Dealerships. “By providing a family with an opportunity to own their home, we are making our community a stronger and a better place for everyone. It’s an exciting time for the family, Park Place members and Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity. We are all committed to building a better Dallas as we transform families.”

Dallas Area Habitat empowers families with pathways for affordable homeownership. Serving families with an average annual income of $40,000, Dallas Area Habitat built 54 new homes in 2019 and is on track to build 38 despite the global pandemic in 2020 with an estimated contributed property tax base of $4 million total over its 34-year history.

The Park Place Cares program supports more than 300 organizations around the Dallas-Fort Worth area throughout the year. Park Place’s 1,400 members are further challenged to volunteer their time and resources to serve local communities. The local affiliate was founded in 1986 and has built more than 1700 homes over a 34-year history.
