The Star-Telegram reports that Clean Slate DFW, an enterprise of the Presbyterian Night Shelter, located in Fort Worth, and Waste Management have formed a program to partner the homeless with employment.
Clean Slate DFW provides janitorial services, litter pickup, festival set up and tear down along with offering staffing for temporary and temp to permanent contracts.
In the pilot program between Clean Slate DFW and Waste Management, clients are hired for 90 days on a part-time basis. Following their initial three months, they are assessed and then have the opportunity for a permanent, full-time career with the company.
