Chief Comms Officer joins United Way of Metro Dallas

The agency offers programs in Dallas, Collin, Rockwall and Southern Denton counties.

Following an extensive search including a diverse field of more than 40 candidates, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas has selected a new Chief Communications Officer.

Rob Shearer joins the team working to improve outcomes in education, income and health for North Texas residents. United Way of Metropolitan Dallas is a community-based nonprofit that has served the community for more than 95 years.

Shearer previously served for five years as the senior director of communications at education nonprofit Commit Partnership. He has more than 25 years of experience as an organizational leader and communications professional.

Before joining Commit Partnership, Shearer held positions with D Custom, Toolbox Studios and Kickstand, a cause strategy agency. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Villanova University.
