The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and Chevron are once again teaming up to support youth in the West Texas region through the Chevron / Texas Rangers Community Grant program.

Launched in 2024, the initiative supports non-profit organizations, schools, or municipalities that provide meaningful support to youth ages 18 and under through programming in areas such as educational curriculum, after-school programming, or youth sports. The grants are meant to enhance the impact and support provided through these organizations.

“We’re proud to continue this meaningful collaboration with Chevron,” said Karin Morris, Texas Rangers senior vice president of community impact & executive director of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. “The response in year one was tremendous, and we’re excited to build on that momentum for even more youth-serving programs across West Texas.”

Organizations supporting youth in West Texas are invited to apply for funding at rangers.com/chevrongrants. The application portal is open through Friday, August 15.

In 2024, Chevron and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation awarded $50,000 to five nonprofit organizations serving youth in Midland and Odessa. This year, they are expanding grant eligibility to organizations supporting youth anywhere in West Texas.

“The first year’s program was a hit, positively affecting the lives of many young people,” said Nicole Barber, public and government affairs manager for Chevron’s Mid-Continent business unit. “We’re excited to expand this program to provide funding opportunities to more programs that serve West Texan youth.”

Grant recipients will be selected following a detailed review process, with winners notified in September and recognized during pre-game ceremonies at a Texas Rangers home game later that month.
