Dallas News reports that Texas Health Presbyterian, part of Texas Health Resources, incorrectly billed Medicare during a two-year period. The U.S. Health and Human Services Department released their audit findings on December 13.

Based on the findings, Texas Health Presbyterian incorrectly billed Medicare for more than $10 million. The errors included incorrect billing codes and services billed at the wrong rate.

Texas Health Presbyterian is an 875-bed, acute-care hospital in Dallas. Officials from Texas Health Resources plan to appeal the recommendation that they pay back $10.6 million to Medicare.
