American Cancer Society to Open Hope Lodge in Dallas

The Dallas News reports the American Cancer Society will open the first Hope Lodge in Dallas. Gene and Jerry Jones provided a $7.5 million gift and Baylor Scott & White Health donated the property.

The 40,000 square-foot facility is scheduled to open in 2021 and will house adult cancer patients and their caregivers when they travel to Dallas for treatments at any of the major medical centers.

The Dallas Hope Lodge will include 50 private guest suites, common living areas, a dining room, pantry, laundry facilities, library, meditation room and outdoor healing garden.
