Amazon Smile will be no more

Citing an unattained impact for the program that hasn’t been reached since its inception in 2013, Amazon recently announced that it will be discontinuing its Amazon Smile charitable giving program after February 20th of this year.

Touting its place as “among the top corporate philanthropists in the US,” Amazon indicated it will invest in other areas where it can make more meaningful change. As it exits the program, Amazon will make a one-time donation to participating charities equal to three months of what they earned in 2022 through the program.
