ACH Child and Family Services hosts screening of new foster care movie

On October 30, Fort Worth’s ACH Child and Family Services hosted a special screening of the new movie from Paramount Pictures “Instant Family” starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne.

The movie is about a couple (Wahlberg and Byrne) who decide to start a family and stumble into the world of foster care and adoption. They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15 year old girl (Isabela Moner), they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. Now, Pete and Ellie must hilariously try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hopes of becoming a family.

The movie is inspired by the real events from the life of writer/director Sean Anders and also stars Octavia Spencer, Tig Notaro and Margo Martindale.

The organization shared the following on its Facebook page, along with the above image:

“Instant Family” opens nationwide on November 16.

ABOUT ACH CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES

ACH Child and Family Services protects children from abuse, neglect and family separation and helps children overcome these things when they do happen. Abuse and neglect are significant problems in the communities we serve, and without help, the long-term impact on children can prevent them from living healthy, productive lives. Some of our programs keep children and families together, and others provide a healing home for children who can’t live with their families. ACH has more than a century of experience working with children, and we know that the best way to accomplish our mission is to work with families, whenever possible, to strengthen their ability to care for their children Find out more on the organization’s website.
