The Dallas CASA Classic returned for its 29th year, raising $1.1 million to support Dallas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are living in protective care.
Hosted by AT&T, Energy Leaderboard and Goldman Sachs, the tournament brought together hundreds of golfers and corporate partners from across the country in support of Dallas CASA’s mission to protect children, restore childhood and help every child reach their full potential.
Since its founding in 1998, the Dallas CASA Classic has generated more than $30 million for Dallas CASA, helping transform the agency from serving 407 children annually to serving 2,350 children in 2025. Tournament support has played a vital role in the agency’s growth, helping Dallas CASA expand its volunteer advocate program and, ultimately, accept 100% of court appointments to Dallas County child welfare cases beginning in 2019, a goal it strives to achieve year after year.
“Nearly three decades ago, leaders of the Archon Group had a vision that every child in foster care should have a strong advocate,” said Kathleen M. LaValle, president and CEO of Dallas CASA. “The Dallas CASA Classic helped turn that belief into reality. Because of the extraordinary commitment of our hosts, sponsors and golfers, Dallas CASA has grown from serving a fraction of the children who needed us to ensuring thousands of children have a dedicated advocate by their side.”
In 2025, 1,117 Dallas CASA volunteers advocated for 2,350 children living in protective care. Since 2019, the agency has served more than 8,700 children with nearly 3,200 volunteer advocates. Dallas CASA serves more children than any of the more than 900 CASA programs nationwide.
“Goldman Sachs has been proud to support the Dallas CASA Classic since its earliest days,” said Andrew White, managing director at Goldman Sachs and Dallas CASA board member. “What makes this tournament special is that its impact extends far beyond a single day on the golf course. Year after year, it has helped build the capacity of Dallas CASA to serve more children, recruit more volunteers and ensure that vulnerable children have a voice during one of the most difficult times in their lives.”
Dallas CASA volunteers are trained and supervised community advocates who are appointed by judges to represent the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Volunteers work alongside judges, attorneys, educators, therapists, medical professionals and family members to promote children’s safety, well-being and permanency.
Andy Hendricks, president and CEO of Patterson-UTI Energy, said, “The growth of Dallas CASA over the past three decades is a remarkable example of what can happen when businesses, community leaders and volunteers come together around a shared purpose. We are proud to help ensure children facing uncertainty have someone advocating for their future.”
“ExxonMobil is honored to be part of a partnership that has created lasting change for children throughout Dallas County,” said Rich Dealy, vice president for the Permian Basin, ExxonMobil.
The tournament was founded in 1998 by Archon Group, later acquired by Goldman Sachs. AT&T joined as a host in 2013, and Energy Leaderboard, a partnership among ExxonMobil, H&P and Patterson-UTI, now joins Goldman Sachs and AT&T in leading the event. Together, the hosts have helped create one of North Texas’ most successful charitable golf tournaments.
“For children in foster care, having one trusted adult who consistently shows up can make a tremendous difference,” said Corey Anthony, senior vice president, AT&T, and also a Dallas CASA board member and volunteer advocate. “That’s why AT&T is proud to support Dallas CASA and the volunteers who stand beside children during uncertain times. The Dallas CASA Classic is an opportunity for our business community to invest in better futures for children and families throughout Dallas County.”
All proceeds from the Dallas CASA Classic support Dallas CASA’s mission and volunteer advocacy programs serving children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
