Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County mutually agreed to part ways with its former CEO Charles M. Wolford II.
The decision was confirmed by Caroline Samis, chairman of the Tarrant nonprofit, to the Fort Worth Report Friday afternoon.
“We are thankful to Charles for his service to our organization. And we pray for his continued service to God’s kingdom,” Samis said.
Wolford’s departure does not change daily operations and the search for a new CEO is underway, Samis said in the statement.
Wolford no longer appears on the “Meet the Team” page of the organization’s website. When the Fort Worth Report emailed Wolford at the address associated with the nonprofit, the message bounced.
Wolford joined the nonprofit in 2024 after the organization’s former CEO, Don Shisler, stepped down into a CEO emeritus role for two years.
Wolford arrived at the Tarrant County mission with over two decades of experience serving families and adults experiencing homelessness as a pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and Crosspoint Bible Fellowship in Dallas. He previously worked at Promise House in Dallas and City House in Plano, two nonprofits focused on addressing homelessness.
The Fort Worth Report attempted to reach Wolford via social media, phone numbers, email and LinkedIn for comment and did not receive a response by time of publication.
