Temple Shalom will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its annual Fore the Kids Golf Tournament on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Hackberry Creek Country Club in Irving. For the first time, the milestone event will also include a pickleball tournament, creating additional opportunities for players, sponsors and community members to participate.

Over its 25-year history, the volunteer-led tournament has raised more than $650,000 to benefit children and families throughout the Dallas community. Proceeds from this year’s event will support youth programming and service-learning opportunities at Temple Shalom and the work of Vogel, a Dallas nonprofit helping young children and families overcome the lasting effects of homelessness.
“For 25 years, this tournament has demonstrated what is possible when people come together for a day of friendship, friendly competition and giving back,” said Stephanie Hirsh, President of Temple Shalom. “Adding pickleball and strengthening our partnership with Vogel give us exciting new ways to engage the community while keeping children and families at the heart of the event.”

The day will include golf and pickleball competition, player gifts, contests, dinner, awards and an online auction featuring dining, entertainment, travel and other experiences. Individuals may register to play, form a team, become a sponsor, contribute an auction item or support the event with a donation.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $540 to $10,000, including the commemorative $2,500 Birdie Sponsorship—“$2,500 for 25 Years of Giving Back.”

Individual golf registration is $250, and individual pickleball registration is $50. You can sign up at https://www.forethekids.net.
The tournament welcomes participants and supporters of all backgrounds. Golf and pickleball experience is not required to contribute, sponsor or participate in the celebration.
