Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas and Vision To Learn provide cost-free eye exams and glasses to children nationwide

Written by DFW501c Reporter

Nearly 1,000 Dallas-area children will have access to no-cost eye exams and glasses this summer through a partnership designed to bring vision care directly to local summer camps.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas (BGCD) is partnering with Vision To Learn, a nonprofit that provides cost-free eye exams and glasses to children nationwide. Through the collaboration, Vision To Learn brings its mobile vision clinic directly to BGCD summer camp sites, allowing members to receive on-site screenings, eye exams and glasses at no cost to families.

The partnership reflects a broader effort to remove barriers to care by making vision services more accessible during the summer months, when many children lose access to school-based resources.
