- Description: LITCs represent individuals whose income is below a certain level and who need to resolve tax problems with the IRS. LITCs can represent taxpayers in audits, appeals, and tax collection disputes before the IRS and in court. LITCs can also help taxpayers respond to IRS notices and correct account problems. In addition, LITCs can provide information about taxpayer rights and responsibilities in different languages for ESL individuals. Services are offered for free or a small fee.

National Chronic Disease Self-Management Education Resource Center

- Summary: The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity is to support one organization through a cooperative agreement to serve as the National Chronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME) Resource Center. This center will act as a central connector to the aging network for the discretionary and formula funded CDSME grants. It will offer individualized and tiered technical assistance, high-quality education, and a wide range of resources to increase the number of older adults and adults with disabilities who participate in evidence based CDSME and Self-Management Support Programs. The Resource Center will help the network provide cost-effective services that align with the purposes of the Older Americans Act, Title III-D. They will promote the advancement of the CDSME network through building partnerships, supporting data collection, reporting metrics, highlighting key achievements, and engaging stakeholders to encourage long-term sustainability of the programs.
