UNT Dallas partners with North Texas Food Bank

With inflation continuing to take its toll on North Texans’ pocketbooks, The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) and the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) will partner to bring a mobile food pantry to the UNT campus. The free, monthly drive-through service is open to the public and any community members in need of food support.

“Between the post-pandemic fallout and rising costs, North Texans are continuing to tighten their budgets as food insecurity continues to affect so many,” said UNT Dallas Pres. Bob Mong. “We hope our monthly food distribution events will ease that burden for not only our student population but also our neighbors in need of food support. Thank you to our loyal partner, North Texas Food Bank, for their exhaustive efforts to help our community stay strong and healthy.”

The monthly mobile food pantry events will be held on campus the following dates: May 19, June 16, July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17 (subject to change) and Dec. 15.
