Grants up to $75,000 are now available for programs that support the aging population, children and youth, the economically disadvantaged, education, as well as arts, culture and history.
The Carl B. And Florence E. King Foundation opened its fall 2022 grant cycle on May 2. The King Foundation awards two types of grants each year: Community Grants and Initiative Grants. Organizations in four North Texas counties are eligible to apply, including Collin, Dallas, Denton, Rockwall and Tarrant counties.
Funds are available for audience development, building and renovations, capacity-building and technical assistance, capital and infrastructure, capital campaigns, continuing support, equipment, program creation, program development, and program expansion.
The deadline to submit a Letter of Inquiry for the upcoming Community Grant cycle is June 15. Applicants will be notified if the LOI has advanced to the full proposal stage on Aug. 1 and the deadline for invited proposals in Aug. 31. Awardees will be announced Dec. 9, with grant implementation beginning in January 2023.
Interested organizations are strongly encouraged to call the King Foundation’s Program Officer (at 214-750-1884 and set-up a pre-proposal call to discuss the proposed LOI idea. Staff of the King Foundation will attend in-person site visits with applicants invited to submit full proposals.
The King Foundation distributes more than $2 million per year in grants. Since its founding in 1966, the Carl B. & Florence E. King Foundation has awarded more than $60 million to nonprofits.
