Funding Opportunities

$10K available for orgs encouraging girls in engineering/science

Community Action Grants provide funding for innovative programs that promote education and equity.

Local community-based nonprofits that encourage girls to select the physical sciences or engineering as a career before college can apply now for grants of $3,000 to $10,000.

American Association of University Women (AAUW) is offering the grants to organizations including universities. Applicants must be based in the United States or its territories. The application deadline is Dec. 1, 2021. Notification of decisions will occur on April 15, 2022 and the grant year begins July 1, 2022.

Applications will be assessed based on the strength of the project rationale (meeting a demonstrable, documented need), whether the project has specific outcomes and an original approach to achieving them, ability of the program to reach underserved audiences and build connections with diverse individuals, and other criteria.

Since 1972, AAUW has provided support to hundreds of communities across the United States. Click Here to see full details and apply.
